Additional Requirements for Commercial Ground Applicators
The required credits for each subclass must be obtained during at least two years of a five-year certification period.
SINGLE SUBCLASS: Individuals who are certified in one subclass must complete the total required credit hours for that subclass.
MULTIPLE SUBCLASSES: Individuals who are certified in two or more subclasses must obtain the total required credits for the subclass with the highest credit requirement, and three credit hours for each additional subclass. (See note below for applicators licensed in the subclass Demonstration & Research)
- SPECIAL NOTE FOR APPLICATORS LICENSED IN DEMONSTRATION & RESEARCH: Demonstration & Research always requires 10 credit hours.
Applicators that are licensed in Demonstration & Research and one other subclass must complete 10 credit hours in Demonstration & Research and the total required credit hours for the other subclass.
Applicators that are licensed in Demonstration & Research and two or more other subclasses must complete the 10 credit hours in Demonstration & Research, complete the total credit hours for the subclass that has the highest credit hour requirement, and three credit hours for each remaining subclass.
Example: If an applicator is licensed in N, L, A, and G; the credit hours required are: Demonstration & Research = 10, Ornamental & Turf = 10, Aquatic = 3, and Forest = 3
