The purpose of the N.C. Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Association is to develop and promote all phases of the greenhouse vegetable industry including: research on breeding, growing and pest management; application of research pertaining to production, sanitation and marketing; and sponsor shows, sales, exhibitions and contests. Benefits of membership in the N.C. Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Association include:
- Quarterly newsleter with up-to-date information on all aspects of greenhouse vegetable production.
- A voice to help develop state agricultural policy through the Horticultural Council.
- Special Local Needs Registration of pesticides (currently Diazinon is registered for use in greenhouses only by NCGVGA members.)
- Marketing Assistance.
- Annual meeting with presentations, tours, and opportunities to network with other grower
