Greenhouse Grown Vegetables
What: Greenhouse
vegetables are grown within enclosed structures that moderate Light,
Humidity and Heat to promote the perfect environment to grow fruits
and vegetables year-round. These structures also decrease the chance
of crop disease which plays havoc with the farmer's yield. By growing
in these structures most environmental factors are eliminated. Crops
are more uniform in color and shape and more likely achieve fruition.
When: Greenhouse vegetables are found throughout the year.
Why: Choose
Greenhouse grown products through the year to receive the nutritional
advantage of a well-balanced diet laden with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, peppers, melons, strawberries and other
fruits and vegetables combine to bring you the minerals and vitamins
needed for a vibrant and healthy life.
