The Piedmont Triad Farmers Market is one of five Farmers Markets owned by the STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA and operated by the NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE & CONSUMER SERVICES.
This state-of-the-art facility which opened in 1995, provides space for local bona fidegrowers to set up store under a 21,120 sq. ft. retail shelter where anyone can purchase fresh,local fruits, vegetables and ornamentals directly from the farmer who grew them. They are as fresh as picking your own, but without getting dirty. Talk face-to-face with the individual who grew it, and enjoy shopping in a friendly "down on the farm" atmosphere. The Market's Garden Center has a wide assortment of lawn and garden products to suit a variety of needs from outfitting an elaborate landscaping project, to picking up a potted plant for Mom. Mark Abee and his friendly staff, who operate as A.B. Seed & Co. are ready to assist you with all your planting needs. The Piedmont Triad Farmers Market is centrally located in the heart of the Triad area. Admission is FREE, and everyone, regardless of age is welcomed.
Participate in family fun during promotional events like Watermelon Day, Pumpkin Day, and our annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Tour groups and buses are always welcome.
