Announcing the 2008 Finalists!
“Who serves the best food in North Carolina? Well the judges have narrowed it down to eight finalists each for Casual Dining and Fine Dining. The contest challenges and rewards restaurants who feature a dish or combination of courses using many of the wonderful food products grown or produced in our state. Finalists are required to serve and highlight the dish for four weeks between May 1st and August 1st. Judges will visit each restaurant during this time to evaluate each dish.
You can support state food producers, growers and restaurants by visiting each restaurant and tasting the best local recipes in the Carolinas for yourself. Restaurant information along with their featured mouth watering entries are below. Winners will be announced in August and presented their awards at the 2008 NC State Fair.”
