Agricultural exhibit space available for Got to Be NC Festival in June

RALEIGH — Applications are now being accepted from agricultural and agribusiness companies for exhibit space at the 2008 Got to Be NC Festival coming to the N.C. State Fairgrounds June 5-8.

“This will be the largest gathering of old-time and modern agriculture in the state, making it the perfect place for companies to set up shop and talk to farmers, gardeners and homeowners,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “We have room for tractor companies, parts dealers, restoration vendors, landscaping companies and more who are interested in talking directly to potential customers.”

A wide range of outdoor commercial spaces is available, beginning with space measuring 10 by 20 feet. Exhibit space will be discounted to agricultural and agribusiness companies. Tents and electrical power are also available for additional fees. 

“There is an opportunity for a large retailer or manufacturer interested to rent the entire Holshouser Building for the duration of the festival,” said show manager Jim Knight. “This unique building has roll-up doors for easy load-in and has large rest rooms, which will be a great draw during the festival. We are offering this building on a first-come basis.”

Festival organizers expect crowds of up to 100,000 over the four days, with the agriculture displays bolstered by a carnival, the state barbecue championship cook-off, the State Fairgrounds Flea Market, a boat show in the Scott Building and events in the Graham Building, Dorton Arena and the Hunt Horse Complex.

The Got to be NC Festival will occupy space from the Scott Building through Heritage Circle, and even over into the Exposition Building, where North Carolina food companies will be sampling and selling their products.
