SAFETY CONCERNS ABOUT USING TURKEY FRYERS
Three noted organizations have expressed their opinions that using turkey fryers can easily be unsafe. They have shown that fires can be caused, that extrememly hot surfaces can be touched, and that the pot of hot oil can be easily toppled, causing significant and possibly life threatening injuries.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued Safety Tips for Turkey Fryers.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) discourages the use of turkey fryers. Click here to read their press release.
We stongly encourage you to use extreme caution if you decide to cook with a turkey fryer. Please look at these cautions from these consumer oriented organizations and follow their recommendations carefully.
